A high-class sushi restaurant which first opened in 1910 in Tokyo’s Yanagibashi district, Fukukizushi’s specialty is “whole eel nigiri,” in which an entire locally-caught conger eel is stewed and broiled and fashioned into a single piece of sushi. Most of the fish used here are freshly caught in nearby waters or from selected places around the nation for their perfect match with the sushi rice.
